Who’s behind Zucchini?

Zucchini Technologies Ltd is responsible for the personal information described in this policy. We’re developing Zucchini, an iOS meal-planning and cooking app for UK households.

What happens when you join the waitlist?

When you sign up, we collect the email address you enter. Our waitlist form also sends the page URL, referring page (if your browser provides one), your browser-reported time zone and a signup source label. A hidden anti-spam field helps us filter automated submissions.

Our signup system uses Supabase to receive and store waitlist submissions. After signup, this browser also saves your submitted email in local storage to remember that you joined.

We rely on your request to join and receive these updates, and where required on your consent to send email communications. You can ask to leave the waitlist at any time by emailing us. We’ll remove your address from future waitlist messages and delete it unless we need limited records for a lawful reason.

We keep waitlist data while it is needed to manage early access and launch communications, then review it for deletion. We don’t use the waitlist to access other apps or your email inbox.

Your cooking life stays yours.

If you create an app account, we may process the information you choose to provide and the records needed to deliver the features you use:

These features use data to provide the app you request. Some optional processing may rely on your consent or choices inside the app; we may also process limited records to keep the service secure and meet legal obligations.

If you choose Apple’s Hide My Email, we receive the Apple relay email address rather than the underlying personal address. Apple handles App Store payments; we receive subscription-status information, not your full payment-card details.

When other services help.

Depending on the feature you use, Zucchini works with providers for account sign-in and purchases (including Apple and Google), hosting and data storage (Supabase), AI processing, speech or voice functionality (including ElevenLabs and LiveKit), and grocery retailers when you request a basket export.

For example, when you choose a photo-scanning feature, the image may be sent to an AI provider to process your request. When you start a live voice feature, your audio and relevant cooking context may be processed by voice-service providers. When you export a shopping list, the necessary product names and quantities go to the selected retailer.

These providers may process information outside the UK. Where required, we use appropriate legal safeguards for international transfers. We do not sell your personal data.

Your choices and rights.

You can ask to access or correct personal information we hold about you, ask for deletion, object to direct marketing and exercise other applicable UK data-protection rights. Some requests have legal exceptions.

For waitlist removal, or an app-data request, email hello@zucchini.app from the address concerned and tell us what you need. You can also raise a concern with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. We review this notice as the service develops and update the date above when it changes.
